We interviewed Rich Abante moats on the Music For Kiddos Podcast, and here are some of the highlights:

“Musical integrity [means] that we're keeping the integrity or the wholeness of our musicianship and all that has led into who we are as musicians, in the way that we apply it in our clinical musical interactions.

That means different for every person. Our requirements as music therapists are described in these terms like “functional skills” and you have to learn these chords, but does that really describe all of our faculties as a musician? And, do we access that when we learn music for clinical purposes or when we interact or make music with other people?

There has to be an understanding of who am I and what do I bring in to this musical interaction.”
